We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Theatre Administration officer to join our dynamic Ophthalmic Day Surgery team. This is a key role supporting the smooth coordination of theatre lists, staff and patient flow in a clinical environment. As a theatre administration officer, you will be responsible for coordinating daily theatre operations, ordering as required, liaising with surgeons and clinical staff, and ensuring efficient scheduling and communication across the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage theatre lists
* liaise with surgeons and anaesthetists, nursing staff and patients
* Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of theatre schedules
* Theatre billing and dealing with health funds
* Handle patient enquiries professionally, kindly and empathetically.
About You:
* Previous experience in a theatre or hospital administrative role
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment
* High attention to detail
* Familiarity with medical software desirable.
