A leading state sporting organisation is seeking a dedicated and organised State Teams Coordinator to support the coordination of representative teams across Tasmania. This organisation plays a vital role in the development and promotion of sport at all levels, offering a dynamic and community-focused environment. Due to growth, they are looking for someone to join their team on a part-time basis, working 20 hours a week.
Your new role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end coordination of state teams-from player nominations to competition logistics. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll ensure athletes, officials, and stakeholders have a seamless and professional experience. You will also be responsible for:
* Coordinating player nominations, trials, and training schedules across all regions
* Supporting the selection and management of team officials
* Managing logistics for approximately 18 state teams, including travel, accommodation, uniforms, and equipment
* Promoting team activities and results across media platforms
* Liaising with stakeholders including players, parents, coaches, and volunteers
* Maintaining accurate budgets and issuing invoices for team participation
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have strong organisational and time-management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate would need to be highly adaptable and a problem-solver. Proficiency in MS suite is preferred and a WWVP is essential.
