Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Finance Manager – ANZSA Food is a senior finance leader responsible for driving financial transparency, disciplined decision-making, and value creation across ANZSA Food manufacturing operations.
This role serves as a strategic business partner to Operations & Supply Chain leadership—translating operational performance into financial outcomes, identifying margin expansion opportunities, and maximising return on invested capital. The position also carries FP&A responsibility for ANZSA reporting, ensuring robust forecasting, budgeting, performance analytics, and insightful management reporting that supports strategic and operational decision-making. It plays a critical role in delivering profitable growth, cost competitiveness, and capital efficiency across the manufacturing network.
The role holds direct accountability for the Fawkner manufacturing site and provides leadership across the broader Australian plant network through Plant Controllers reporting into this position, driving consistency, capability, and high performance across all sites.
What You'll Do
Business Partnership
* Lead financial analysis and influence decision-making by providing strategic insights on supply chain performance and profitability
* Analyse cost per unit, yield, and operational metrics to identify risks and value creation opportunities
* Review and challenge performance against Budget, Forecast, and Long-Range Plan
* Partner with operations to drive margin expansion, cost optimisation, and productivity initiatives
* Develop and maintain reporting systems and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
* Serve as delegate for the Supply Chain Finance Manager (located in NZ) during periods of leave
Corporate and Local Reporting
* Lead ANZSA Supply Chain FP&A reporting, including:
o Rolling forecasts
o SCOR metrics
o Labour and manufacturing cost analysis
o Cost take out
* Analyse and explain key drivers of cost movements (month-to-date, year-to-date, vs budget, forecast and prior year)
* Oversee factory administration spend reporting and controls
* Deliver timely and insightful ad hoc analysis to support business needs
Fawkner Plant Accounting (Direct Ownership)
* Own end-to-end financial management of the Fawkner manufacturing site
* Maintain cost accounting systems and ensure accuracy of product costing
* Lead month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and inventory accounting
* Monitor and manage inventory, including obsolete and blocked stock provisions
* Partner with site leadership to improve operational and financial performance
* Lead CAPEX financial evaluation, governance, and post-investment reviews
* Ensure a strong internal control environment, including SOX compliance
* Validate and approve cost savings and cost take-out initiatives
* Provide forward-looking analysis and scenario modelling to support decision-making
Australia Plant Network Accounting (Leadership & Oversight)
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 accountants across the Australian manufacturing network
* Drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting
* Ensure consistency in financial reporting, controls, and governance across all Australian sites
* Build capability and accountability to deliver high-quality financial insights
* Partner with Supply Chain and Commercial Finance to align operational performance with customer and pricing outcomes
* Lead development of Supply Chain AOP and LRP
* Develop production cost centre budgets and capital expenditure forecasts
* Partner with divisional finance and operational teams to align COGS with business strategy
* Challenge assumptions and identify risks and opportunities within plans
* Present AOP and LRP to Supply Chain and Commercial leadership for approval
Asset Management and Analysis
* Safeguard company assets through effective financial oversight and governance
* Monitor and optimise working capital, with a focus on inventory performance
* Lead financial evaluation of capital projects, including approvals and post-investment (make‐good) analysis
* Participate in Capital Management and Investment Committee reviews
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, CA/CPA preferred
* 8+ years' experience in finance, with strong Supply Chain Finance and FP&A expertise
* Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business outcomes
* Strong systems capability (SAP, OneStream, Hyperion Smart View, Power BI, Excel)
* Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, costing, and internal controls (SOX)
* Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and building high-performing teams
* Ability to drive change, standardisation, and continuous improvement
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organisation
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment
