Friendship matters - Aged Care Volunteer Visitor needed
Do you love to spend time with older people? To hear their stories and share a cuppa? We are searching for friendly, engaging Volunteer Visitors that are 18 years of age or older. This position requires patience, compassion and reliability.
Responsibilities
* Visit the older friend on a fortnightly basis (weekly where possible) and do an activity that you both enjoy, such as sharing a cuppa, chatting, reading or taking a short walk.
* Help improve the quality of life for the client and reduce isolation.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Age 18 years or older.
* Patience, compassion and reliability.
* Successful completion of a National Police Check.
* Commitment to visit at least once per fortnight and a period of 12 months or longer.
* Ongoing support and training from the ACVVS Program Coordinator.
