Job Description
o Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements.
o Drive the implementation of a new payroll system, including project planning, change management, and post-implementation support.
o Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes, systems, and reporting.
o Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration and alignment of payroll with broader business systems.
o Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations including superannuation, taxation, and reporting requirements.
o Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior leadership on payroll trends, risks, and opportunities.
o Other ad hoc tasks
The Successful Applicant
o Proven experience in a senior payroll leadership role, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
o Demonstrated success in leading payroll system implementations or major process transformations.
o Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
o Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
o High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
