About the Role
The Strategy and Performance Unit is responsible for advising on the strategic positioning of the University, supporting planning at all levels, monitoring and reporting on performance, and making submissions to government agencies and international ranking organisations.
This part-time fixed term position supports various core and non-core survey projects and related activities, focusing on the efficient and effective collection and reporting of performance data associated with University courses, units and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Surveys Manager and other team members in managing key student surveys.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of survey strategies, ensuring alignment with the University's goals and objectives.
- Utilize strong data skills to manipulate large and complex data sets, producing high-quality insights and reports.
- Apply intermediate excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups, as well as experience with tools such as SPSS, Cognos, Tableau, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Blue and Evaluation Kit.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong data analysis and manipulation skills, particularly with quantitative and qualitative survey data.
- Basic statistical knowledge and an understanding of measurement issues in survey research.
- Excellent written and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with academic and professional staff, students and stakeholders.
- An understanding of the Higher Education environment, specifically Learning and Teaching administration.
- Familiarity with data security principles and a demonstrated commitment to handling sensitive information responsibly.
