The role of a Physical Education Teacher is to create an environment that fosters growth in faith and improvement in learning. This enables students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the mission and purpose of a Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church framework.
* Maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on Positive Behaviour for Learning principles.
* Plan and implement effective teaching and learning strategies across all Key Learning Areas.
* Apply knowledge of diverse student needs to support their full participation in learning.
* Implement effective Literacy and Numeracy teaching strategies.
* Use various assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
* Engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
Requirements:
* Hold appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
* Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with relevant policy or a commitment to gain this level within five years of employment.
* Accreditation with the National Education Standards Authority (NESA) to teach in NSW.
