About the Role
The SCM – Pharmacy Stock Management (TMS) Consultant will provide expert consulting in pharmacy stock management within hospital or healthcare settings, leveraging SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Management, Materials Management (MM), and relevant pharmacy modules. This contract role involves close collaboration with clinical, pharmacy, and supply teams to optimise stock control, integrate SAP systems, and support transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA SCM/MM functionality for pharmacy stock management and TMS workflows.
* Analyse current-state pharmacy stock processes, including replenishment, ordering, dispensing, inventory control, and waste minimisation.
* Develop target-state process designs aligned with SAP S/4HANA capabilities and healthcare regulatory requirements.
* Configure SAP MM master data, purchasing, MRP, batch/serial, storage locations, and stock handling processes.
* Support integration between pharmacy systems, automated dispensing cabinets, and SAP Inventory Management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain process alignment across Pharmacy, Procurement, Finance, and Warehouse operations.
* Create functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and system changes.
* Coordinate and support testing activities (SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover readiness).
* Provide end-user training, operational documentation, and hypercare support after go-live.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, leveraging SAP best practices for healthcare supply chain and pharmacy logistics.
* Ensure compliance with medication handling regulations, TGA requirements, and healthcare quality standards.
The Successful Candidate
To be considered, you must:
* Be an Australian Citizen with a current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 or above preferred). Candidates with Baseline clearance who are willing to secure higher clearance will also be considered.
* Have significant experience as an SAP SCM/MM consultant, including S/4HANA.
* Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of inventory management, procurement, stock transfer, MRP, and supply chain processes.
* Have experience with pharmacy stock control processes in hospitals or large healthcare organisations.
* Understand TMS-related pharmacy modules or equivalent pharmacy management systems.
* Have experience with integration between clinical systems and SAP (highly desirable).
* Be able to lead workshops, produce high-quality documentation, and manage stakeholders at multiple levels.
* Possess strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Be able to work autonomously as a senior consultant.
* Exposure to automated pharmacy dispensing systems or intelligent supply cabinets is desirable.
* Understanding of GS1, barcoding, and serialisation standards in healthcare is beneficial.
* Experience in large-scale digital transformation or SAP implementation programs within the public health sector is highly valued.
* Hold a degree in Supply Chain, Pharmacy, IT, or a related discipline. SAP certification in SCM/MM or S/4HANA is desirable.
