About the role
As a New Car Specialist, the role functions within the Marketplace Team as a primary point of contact for our customers.
This role is responsible for sourcing the most competitive pricing from our extensive dealer network and guiding buyers through their purchase journey, while delivering exceptional customer service at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing their enquiry, concerns, or requests with courtesy and empathy.
* Calling new leads, checking information, and qualifying the buyer before obtaining dealer quotesand closing the sale
* Contact multiple dealerships to ensure we are finding the very best price and availability for our customer.
* Keeping up to date with market offers / trends, and communicating with potential new car buyers.
* Promote aftermarket products to in-market customers.
* Offer alternative options (different make/model), where appropriate.
* Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, including call logs, customer information, and issue resolutions.
* Monitor and reply to all customer responses assigned from SMS or Email activity via our CRM within SLA.
* Proactively build awareness of the wide range of resources on the CarExpert website to assist new car buyers in making informed buying decisions.
* Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.
* Provide feedback to management regarding recurring customer issues, process improvement ideas, and suggestions for enhancing our customers' new car buying experience.
* Collaborate with colleagues and support team members to share knowledge, and best practices, process deals and contribute to a positive team environment.
Education, Experience & Skills
* Motor Vehicle Sales License (Paid for by CarExpert).
* Exceptional communication skills - written and verbal.
* Ability to build rapport over the phone quickly and enjoy assisting our customers.
* New car knowledge preferred but not essential.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of CRMs, and apps such as Slack.
