Introduction
The Ocean Stewardship Program is a well-established marine conservation initiative based in the Koh Rong Archipelago in southwest Cambodia. It focuses on empowering local coastal communities while preserving the region's pristine marine ecosystems. This program offers a rewarding opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build skills, and contribute to conservation outcomes.
Since its inception, the program has been at the forefront of marine conservation in Cambodia. Highlights include establishing a marine reserve, environmental education initiatives, and sustainable waste management practices across the archipelago. By joining the program, you will collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to conservation efforts that shape the future of Cambodia's marine ecosystems. Your work supports the management of the country's first Marine National Park and internationally recognized marine reserve, including collecting and analyzing marine survey data to support sustainable management of the region.
Beyond the technical work, your involvement promotes long-term environmental preservation and empowers local communities to thrive with their resources. This program offers the chance to explore the lower Mekong region while making a meaningful impact in marine conservation.
