Contract Negotiator & Procurement Specialist
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for facilitating the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead contract negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to engage with suppliers
* Prepare and manage tender and contract documentation
* Evaluate supplier proposals and provide recommendations
* Administer contract processes including claims, variations, and performance reviews
* Manage supplier relationships and contract lifecycles
* Provide commercial and contractual advice to stakeholders
* Maintain accurate contract records and registers
Requirements:
Applicants should possess a business degree or equivalent, along with significant experience in contract negotiation and post-award contract management on projects for heavy earth moving, tailings storage facility construction, or mine expansion construction projects.
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office is essential, as well as the ability to prepare and manage contract documentation using standard templates.
A strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation is also required, ideally within the mining, construction, or engineering sectors.
