About You
* You will need relevant tertiary qualifications in business and/or community development and/or relevant applied industry experience.
The Role
The Senior Consultant is responsible for managing client relationships, achieving client outcomes and driving and delivering projects and tasks on time and within an agreed budget.
This role requires creativity, professionalism, high level business acumen, empathy and effective communication skills.
You will be required to plan projects and work with our team to undertake your role.
Senior Consultants will apply their skills in business, management, community development, facilitation, budgeting and analysis to achieve positive outcomes for the client.
Key Requirements
* Proven working experience in senior management, in complex environments.
* Experience working in remote Australia, particularly with Indigenous communities, and a deep understanding of social, economic, training and employment context in remote Australia.
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
* Empathy and intuition, with the ability to apply excellent judgment in complex professional situations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other related project management software.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
* Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Ensure resource availability and allocation.
* Develop detailed project plans to track and monitor progress.
* Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
* Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
* Use effective judgement in reporting and escalation to management as needed, always seeking advice and input when required.
* Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, focusing on building strong relationships and trust, with a focus on capacity building as required.
* Perform risk management (formal and informal) to minimise project risks.
* Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
