Full Time - Contract position to 24 December 2026
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance department as part of the Procurement and Creditors team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment while contributing to the smooth operation of financial and administrative processes.
The Accounts Payable Officer will provide accurate and timely processing of transactions, supporting the organisation’s financial operations and compliance obligations. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Officer, this role focuses on invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations, and financial administration support.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently under general direction
· Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and accuracy
· Understanding of financial delegations and when to escalate issues appropriately
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
· General working knowledge of double-entry, income, and expenditure accounting principles
· Sound knowledge of accounts payable processes
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
· Commitment to confidentiality and high professional standards
Applicants should possess:
· Certificate III in Accounts Administration, higher tertiary qualifications in a related field, or equivalent industry experience
· Experience using accounting software systems
· Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications
· Knowledge of statutory requirements, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) legislation and associated regulations
· Experience in financial processes and basic bookkeeping functions
Salary Range $76,040 to $82,866 pa plus superannuation.
