As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Cost Management at the University of Melbourne, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in teaching and research. Your responsibilities will include:

* Deliver High-Quality Education: Develop and teach engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in cost management and quantity surveying, incorporating innovative teaching methods.
* Conduct Impactful Research: Produce high-quality publications, secure external funding, and supervise research students in your area of expertise.
* Foster Industry Connections: Cultivate research links with industry partners and professional bodies, contributing to the Faculty's engagement with the broader community.
* Contribute to Faculty Leadership: Participate in planning, committee work, and administrative tasks to support the Faculty's strategic goals.

You may be a great fit if:

You are an accomplished scholar or professional in cost management or quantity surveying, with a strong commitment to teaching excellence and a proven research track record or potential.

You may also:

* Hold a PhD in a relevant field or be close to completion.
* Have experience in teaching and curriculum development at the university level.
* Possess expertise in traditional construction cost-related areas and an interest in BIM technology.
* Demonstrate a record of quality research publications or industry collaborations.
* Be eligible for membership in professional bodies such as AIQS or RICS.
* Have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Your new team - The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning

The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning is the leading educational and research institution in the Asia-Pacific region addressing the design and realisation of inhabited environments. It actively seeks to extend the linkages between education, research and practice in the built environment, and maintains excellent and extensive relationships with members of the built environment professions, government, professional associations and the wider community.

The Faculty has over 200 staff and 3000 students, one third of whom are international. It is responsible for the undergraduate Bachelor of Design degree, and offers majors in architecture, landscape architecture, property, construction, and urban planning.

The Faculty's graduate school, the Melbourne School of Design (MSD), teaches accredited masters courses across the professional disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Property, Urban Design and Urban Planning.
