About the Role
Alstom, a leader in transport networks, is seeking 2 Electrical Apprentices to join our Dandenong team. This role offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in the electrical aspects of tram manufacturing, supporting the production of Melbourne's next-generation trams.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in the installation of train materials and equipment.
2. Support fault finding and rectification of electrical circuits.
3. Read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation.
4. Use tools such as wire cutters, multi-meters, soldering tools, etc.
5. Collaborate with team members and suggest improvements.
6. Follow workplace health and safety rules.
Candidate Requirements
1. Mechanical aptitude and good coordination.
2. Commitment to learning and following instructions.
3. Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
4. Minimum age of 16 years.
5. Grade C in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent.
6. Willingness to undertake Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
Additional Details
* Work hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with TAFE block learning.
* Role is with Alstom; Hatch is a partner facilitating the application process.
