Responsibilities

* Reporting to the IT Operations Team Leader, this position is responsible for providing first-line support to Council staff, Councillors and customers for Information Technology's end‐user equipment, servers, network, applications and general technology.
* Providing phone, remote and face‐to‐face first level (Helpdesk) support and training to Council staff and Councillors.
* Ensure operational maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and imaging, are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Monitor Information Technology Helpdesk ticket queues ensuring adherence to in‐place service levels, escalating tickets as required.
* Manage information systems to support the operation of Council's Information Technology.

Qualifications

* Information Technology qualifications or relevant experience.
* Demonstrated experience working with, and troubleshooting, computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and Android/iOS mobile devices.
* Demonstrated experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
* Excellent time management and problem‐solving skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks.
* Enthusiastic champion of technology and its ability to drive improvements in work processes and environments.
* Positive person who thrives on collaboration and communication, seeing these as essential to building a good team environment.
* Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal records check.
