This full-time position is based at our manufacturing facility in Josephville, approximately 90 km south of Brisbane.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Sales Representative – Pharma & Consumer Health to support and grow GELITA’s presence across the ANZ region. In this role, you will build strong customer partnerships, promote our gelatine and collagen portfolio, and support new product development from concept through to commercialisation.
Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will act as the key link between market needs and GELITA’s technical and commercial capabilities.
Reporting to the Head of Asia Pacific, duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
* Proactively engage customers via calls, on‑site visits, and technical support.
* Act as the primary point of contact for ANZ Pharma & Consumer Health customers.
* Recommend the most suitable gelatine or collagen type for specific customer applications.
* Develop clear, accurate, and effective written proposals and quotations.
* Partner with customers from early-stage concepts through product development and final commercialisation.
* Present and discuss new product variants and innovative solutions with customers.
* Analyse product ranges available in the market to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
* Support cost-reduction initiatives related to ingredients and production processes.
* Conduct testing, evaluation, and optimisation of new and existing formulations.
* Assess interactions between gelatine and other ingredients to ensure optimal performance and quality.
* Stay informed on product applications, technical services, market conditions, and competitor activity through literature review and collaboration with sales and technical teams.
* Research and identify prospective customers and evaluate their market potential.
* Resolve customer issues, technical challenges, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
* Perform on-site investigations and provide practical solutions to production and technical problems.
* Provide management with regular oral and written reports on customer needs, issues, competitive activity, and opportunities for new products and services.
* Participate in trade shows, industry conventions, and customer events.
* Support day-to-day activities of the sales and technical service teams, including consolidation of sales data and reporting.
* Contribute innovative ideas, product variations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Complete other reasonable and relevant tasks as required from time to time.

About You

* Proven experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* Understanding of ingredient functionality and product formulation.
* High accuracy in written communication and numeracy.
* Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Strong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail with excellent organisational abilities.
* Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
