Roles & Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and upskill a large production team across 24/7 operations. Oversee daily plant performance across boilers, turbines, coal handling, and auxiliary systems. Drive safety excellence through permit-to-work, operational risk, and emergency response processes. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and trading functions to optimise generation and efficiency. Identify and implement operational improvements to support flexible and reliable power generation. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ongoing capability development. Qualifications & Experience Proven leadership experience within coal-fired or large thermal power generation operations. Strong understanding of plant systems, on-shift maintenance, and control room operations. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage IR challenges, and build technical capability. Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering, Operations, or a related field. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
