The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional; Community Facility Booking Officer. This position is a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
You will provide end-to-end support throughout the booking process, while also managing ongoing relationships with regular and seasonal facility hirers. In addition, you will play a key role in promoting the activation of community spaces and maximising their use.
You will:
* Administer and manage bookings across City-owned and managed facilities, including halls, pavilions, open spaces and sporting reserves, to ensure optimal usage, operational efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Liaise with community groups, commercial operators, not-for-profit organisations, sporting clubs and recreation groups to support their booking needs.
* Collaborate with City officers to support the Asset Management Program and coordinate cleaning and maintenance requirements, ensuring bookings align with scheduled works.
* Maximise the use of community assets by identifying and implementing opportunities to increase utilisation through effective promotion and engagement strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant work experience (2 to 3 years)
* Hold a current unrestricted “C-A” (Automatic) or “C-B” (Manual) class national driver’s licence
* Demonstrated capacity to deliver a community facilities booking service through an online platform
* Demonstrated experience in delivering a quality customer service experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of community organisations and working with key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office programs
* Ability to work some evenings as required.
* Understanding of Local Government environment (desirable)
* Sound Financial Management skills to oversee accounts receivable process within the facilities booking system
