ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and management of the College's operational systems. This role ensures that timetables, daily operations, events, compliance processes and administrative systems run efficiently, supporting the smooth delivery of teaching, learning and externally based programs. This role has a 10-year Tenure.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Prepare staffing, rooming, and supervision plans for NAPLAN, OLNA, Progressive Achievement Testing, PISA and TIMMS testing, ATAR exams and other major assessments.
Be present at the start of all key testing events ensuring that expectations are met
Work with Relief Co-Ordinator to manage relief staffing and make adjustments where necessary
Manage staff rosters and duty allocations
Oversee timetable adjustments and room allocations
Lead the development, maintenance and review of the College timetable, ensuring alignment with enrolments, subject selection, class size, staffing and College priorities (*Please note that you are not required to create the College timetable but will be required to liaise with the timetable and to have an understanding of the timetable so that adjustments can be made where necessary).
Ensure prompt updates for new enrolments, course changes and House/Home Room assignments.
Management of key College staff.
Administration
Ensure compliance with CEWA, Catholic Education Commission and government requirements.
Check updates to/edit the College's social media publications and other correspondence that comes from Nagle.
Event & Program Coordination
Oversee Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews, including scheduling, communications and logistics.
Organise roster for staff supervision for PST Interviews and any other Curriculum Leadership Team supervision.
Manage photography days, including liaison with Marketing Manager, photographers and distribution of photos.
Careers & Pathways
Lead Careers education programs and oversee VET pathways, work experience and post-school transition planning.
Build partnerships with universities, training providers and industry to expand opportunities for students.
Oversee the UniReady in Schools Program.
Oversee the ViSN program in schools
Counsel students with regard to their careers and pathways
Learning Support Coordination
Oversee the organisation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring documentation of adjustments for students with additional needs.
Coordinate communication between Learning Support, students, families and external agencies.
Other duties as assigned by the Principal
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Educational background: Senior teaching qualification and substantial leadership experience
Strong organisational expertise: Proficiency with data systems and software and a willingness to develop skills in Edval
Excellent communication and leadership skills: The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders and leading operations across the school
Have completed Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School, or willing to complete
Have completed Accreditation for Middle Leadership in a Catholic School, or willing to complete
Current registration with Teachers Registration Board WA
