We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join the Risk Department for a parental leave secondment. This role will appeal to an IMB employee with the enthusiasm and desire to build their skills and knowledge in lending assurance and the credit lifecycle and contribute to maintaining the quality of IMB's loans portfolio and the enterprise wide assurance framework.
Reporting to the Team Leader Lending Quality Assurance, the day-to-day requirements of the role include:
* Reviewing lending files at various stages of the credit lifecycle in line with QA methodology, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and IMB policies and procedures
* Conducting targeted reviews in line with Risk Plan and as required based on trends analysis and/or hot spots
* Investigating and providing feedback on Lending Fraud Referrals including actioning of AML monitoring for Loan accounts
* Effectively communicating feedback and review results to employees
* Identifying risks and control opportunities
* Regular analysis, reporting and observation of the lending process, policy, products and strategies and delivering insights on credit quality and loan integrity
* Identifying collective and individual knowledge and areas of development within the front line, and coaching staff to improve risk awareness.

* Understanding of credit-based activities throughout the credit lifecycle, including transactional level experience
* Awareness of the commercial application of risk management principles, policy and procedures
* Analysis and reporting skills with the ability to draw insights
* Attention to detail and fraud awareness with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies
* Ability to complete work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
* Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work with other Business Units and all staff to improve practices and outcomes
* Knowledge of the key compliance requirements (NCCP, Privacy, AML/CTF, FSR)
* Sound risk awareness including behaviours demonstrating a positive attitude towards assurance and alignment with IMB's code of conduct
* Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
