We’re Hiring: Technical Support Engineer!
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for delivering top-notch support? Join Oper8 Global as a Technical Support Engineer, where you’ll be the go-to expert for resolving IT issues, managing critical infrastructure, and ensuring seamless operations for our customers. The Technical Support Engineer will report to the Service Delivery Manager and will be based out of our offices in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Brisbane, working five days a week in the office. This role is a 3-month contract.
Responsibilities
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality and responsive technical support for Oper8 Global’s solutions, equipment, managed services, and desktop support for both external and internal customers. Responsibilities include:
* Reproducing customer environments and conducting tests
* Managing and efficiently addressing electronic tickets
* Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, and networks
* Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues for internal and external users
* Managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and desktop environments
* Supporting and maintaining private cloud data, security solutions, and critical infrastructure
* Performing system monitoring, maintenance, updates, and documentation
* Contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence
* Administering Unix/Windows servers
Qualifications & What We're Looking For
* Microsoft 365 Administrator certification
* Fortinet Certification
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with over 4 years of technical support and troubleshooting experience
* Knowledge of ISO 27001
* At least three years’ experience in a managed services environment
* Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and File Servers
* Experience managing multi-tenant Office 365 environments
* Knowledge of network and server hardware
* Experience configuring FortiGate Firewalls and network switches
* Strong understanding of ITIL standards
* Experience in customer-oriented environments
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting
* Passion for innovation, change management, and process optimization
* Eligibility for Baseline Security Clearance; only Australian citizens should apply.
