As an Early Intervention Facilitator at BUSHkids, you will play a key role in our Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service stream. You will support families with children under 6 years of age showing signs of a developmental delay, as well as children under 9 years with a disability that have been referred to our services.
In this role, you will provide early intervention guidance and information for families that may include allied health supports, and work collaboratively with partner organisations aligned with the BUSHkids model of care. You may also assist families with NDIS access and support them through their NDIS journey, connect them to appropriate mainstream and community services and contribute to building community engagement.

About You
We are seeking your strong understanding of child development and developmental delays, ideally gained through your experience as an Early Childhood professional. At your core, you are passionate about supporting families through early intervention and confident in guiding parents and carers through important conversations and the initial steps in their child’s early intervention journey and supports available.
You may bring:
- Experience working in the Early Childhood sector combined with qualifications and extensive knowledge of early childhood development and developmental delays, or
- Case management experience gained as an NDIS Support Coordinator, Disability Service Coordinator, or within the Family/Community Services sector, with knowledge of child development and developmental delays to support parents/carers in navigating supports and the NDIS pathway.
We also require you to bring:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a robust ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- A practical, can-do attitude with a passion for children, families, and the community
- Understanding of the NDIS, choice and control, and the principles of person-centred care
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience using CRM, data management, or case management systems
- Strong written communication skills, including report writing, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility and adaptability while maintaining clear boundaries around scope of work in service delivery

Essential Requirements
- Valid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain before commencement)
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Evidence of Hepatitis B Vaccination status
Key Selection Criteria
Professional Practice
- Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention services for families and young children including parenting.
- Knowledge and skills in working with vulnerable families who may experience multiple barriers to accessing services.
Communication/Team Participation
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to work effectively in a local community to provide high quality services.
- Able to develop strong skilled networks and work collaboratively with other service providers.
Leadership/Work Unit Management
- Committed to ongoing professional development and willingness to share knowledge and skills with others.
- Able to work independently without close supervision and to appropriately manage time and workload.
