About The Role
You will be the workers' key point of contact, providing care and support to help them assimilate into their environment, the workplace, and develop skills for independent living in a new country. Your core responsibilities will include:
* Addressing worker enquiries and helping them develop skills to resolve concerns independently;
* Building trust and strong relationships with workers to understand and address their concerns;
* Assisting workers with access to services such as medical care;
* Acting as a communication link between workers, our client (the host employer), and MADEC;
* Identifying and escalating risks to worker wellbeing.
This is a casual role with seasonal hours, averaging approximately 25 hours per week, increasing during peak season. Flexibility with working hours, including availability for out-of-hours work and weekends, is required. We offer flexible working arrangements to accommodate your needs.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You reside in the Tully, Innisfail, Tablelands, or Lakeland regions and are familiar with the local area, as you will travel to see workers and host employers throughout these areas.
You possess excellent communication skills and a passion for building positive relationships through a person-centred approach.
You have a genuine desire to help others, patience, and cultural sensitivity to effectively connect with workers.
You hold a valid driver's license to provide on-ground support.
Please note that a police check and valid working rights are prerequisites, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
