We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team and act as a subject matter expert for our Brisbane team. This is a fulltime position, offering flexible arrangements and free on-site parking for your office days
Reporting to the Manager of Advisory, you will provide high-level consultancy to operational leaders and the wider HR function, balancing technical expertise with a pragmatic business first approach, and enjoy a high degree of autonomy to shape how you deliver impact.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
* Provide expert guidance to managers on performance and conduct issues, ensuring alignment with Sodexo policies and procedures, and Australian legislative compliance.
* Facilitate the successful resolution of employee grievances without escalation to the Fair Work Commission.
* Complex case management, leading end-to-end investigations into grievances, misconduct and performance issues.
* Interpret and provide expert advice on the application of Modern Awards, NES and Enterprise Agreements.
* Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions to enhance internal capability among leaders across all aspects of people management.
* Proactively identify, develop and embed opportunities for improvement across Sodexo systems, procedures and templates.
* Contribute to broader people initiatives aimed at elevating the overall people experience.
* Site Travel is expected once per quarter or on an ad-hoc basis to support key projects and engaged with the frontline workforce.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a resilient, self-starting professional who can navigate the complexities of a large-scale workforce.
You will hold a qualification in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 5 years professional experience in HR, ideally within a large workforce (500+ employees).
In addition to excellent time management and teamwork skills, you will possess exceptional technical skills ensuring that all HR practices align with Australian legislative requirements. You will have proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
