Teaching Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Options teacher for Years 7-12 to join our team.
This role involves teaching one of two Special Options classes for 13 students with disabilities, including Autism and intellectual disabilities, supported by a Student Support Officer (SSO).
* Develop and implement student One Plans, taking into account individual needs and goals.
* Communicate effectively with families about student progress, providing regular updates and feedback.
* Collaborate with the inclusion team to plan and organise the Special Options program, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Assess and report student progress, using data to inform instruction and make adjustments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teach and support students in a safe and respectful classroom environment.
2. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
3. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
4. Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
