Trainer and Assessor Role
The role of a trainer and assessor is to deliver training programs and assess the competence of students in a specific trade or skill.
1. Deliver training programs to students in a classroom or on-the-job setting.
2. Assess the competence of students through practical demonstrations, written tests, and observation.
3. Provide feedback to students on their performance and suggest areas for improvement.
4. Ensure that all training programs are delivered in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent tertiary qualifications is required.
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) along with TAEASS502 and TAELLN401 units or higher level of training and assessment qualifications is required.
* Relevant industry experience in painting and decorating is essential.
* Excellent written and communication skills are required.
* Previous VET training experience with international students is desirable.
