About the role
The Practice Nurse plays a key role in delivering advanced, evidence-based care within a dynamic rural General Practice setting.
Working collaboratively with GPs and the multidisciplinary team, you will support a wide range of health needs—from acute presentations to chronic disease management—while contributing to preventative health initiatives and coordinated, person-centred care.
In this autonomous role, you'll apply high-level clinical judgement and leadership to support service delivery, drive quality and safety outcomes, and make a meaningful difference across the lifespan of your patients within a supportive community-focused environment.
Working with us
* Isolation bonus: AUD$3,695 for first year, AUD$11,085 for second year, and AUD$7,390 (pro rata for part time) from third year onward.
* Return airfares: 2 full-time (inc. spouse/dependents) or 1 part-time return airfare per annum to the nearest east coast provincial city.
* Employer superannuation: 12.75%.
* Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
* Tax savings through salary sacrificing options available.
* Plus 2 weeks travel per annum, enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.
* Staff accommodation (if eligible) or private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.
Requirements
* Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Current National Police Certificate required.
* Relevant tertiary degree, appropriate registration/licences.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre-employment screening, including Criminal History checks.
* Vaccination or immunity evidence to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* Probation period may apply.
