About The Role
We are seeking a skilled psychologist to contribute to our Regional Wellbeing Telepractice Service. As a member of the team, you'll provide evidence-based counselling interventions for children from Prep through to Year 12 with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns. The students you'll be working with will be varied in presentation but may benefit from interventions to support them in developing emotional management skills, building resilience, improving distress tolerance, managing their mood and supporting their interpersonal relationships.

Success In Performing This Role Will Require

* Knowledge and skills in mental health assessment and therapeutic intervention for children and adolescents
* An understanding of working within complex organisational systems to support client or student needs
* A keen interest or experience in delivering therapeutic services through the telepractice modality

Your role will not only enhance educational outcomes but also shape the future prospects of our students. You will collaborate with a dynamic support team and receive clinical and technical guidance from our regional wellbeing supervisors.

This position is based in the Darling Downs South West Region, and the successful candidate will be located in a school within the Region (pending negotiation of a suitable space in a school in the candidate's town of residence).

While we are offering permanent positions, we're also happy to negotiate temporary contracts for candidates who don't want to relinquish a permanent position before they've had a chance to experience these roles.

Why Join Us?

* Flexibility: Choose from full-time or part-time options and enjoy the opportunity to accrue time off during term time to take during school holidays.
* Support for new staff: Structured onboarding to the psychologist role and education system, and regular check-ins and supervision tailored to your needs as you orient to your new role
* Connection with the school psychologist network: access to regular peer support and supervision from other school psychologists
* Professional Development: Engage in specialised growth and learning opportunities.
* Financial Benefits: Enjoy a 12.75% superannuation rate and salary packaging options.
