Your Role
As an Administration Officer, you will deliver financial processing, support and advice to schools under a fee-for-service agreement, reporting directly to the Financial Advisory Services Manager.
You Will
Collaborate with Principals and Business Managers across multiple schools within the Hub region to manage financial operations.
Oversee day-to-day financial processing in OneSchool, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Take responsibility for leading key associated activities.
Key Tasks
Perform financial processing in OneSchool and SBS Finance, including invoice payments, purchase requisitions, purchase order maintenance, corporate card reconciliations, bank reconciliation, and receipting.
Manage accounts receivable, including receipting, invoicing (individual/bulk), cancellations, parent refunds, asset creation and disposal, journal preparation, and BAS review with GST corrections.
Coordinate key financial activities such as end-of-term Systems Evaluation Checklist completion and preparation of budget adjustments for Principal approval.
Provide monthly financial reports for Principal review, ensuring high audit standards, and assist with Control Self Assessments, School Financial Data Collection and other acquittals.
Support purchasing, procurement and strategic financial planning for Hub schools in collaboration with Senior Finance Officers.
About You
Strong knowledge and experience with OneSchool is essential.
Prior experience as a Business Manager or Administrative Officer with a finance focus is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, manage workflows and meet processing deadlines.
Familiarity with Department of Education policies, procedures and finance requirements.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to Hub school staff.
Proficient in technology, particularly in using Microsoft Teams effectively.
