General Surgery Registrar/Principal House Officer
$4,966.90 to $5,758.70 + Super per fortnight
We are seeking a committed and experienced Surgical Registrar or Principal House Officer to provide high-quality clinical care to surgical patients at Bayside Health Service. Within this role you will:
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level, supervised clinical care in inpatient and outpatient surgical settings, including regular ward rounds and procedural care.
- Participate in on-call and night shift rosters, ensuring safe and effective clinical handover and escalation of care when required.
- Contribute to medical education by supervising and mentoring junior staff and students, and leading training sessions or tutorials where appropriate.
About you
You are a clinically capable and compassionate Medical Officer with a strong interest in surgical care. You demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and a cooperative mindset while maintaining high standards of clinical practice and patient safety.
- Minimum 3 years of registrar-level experience in a surgical setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead junior staff.
- Committed to continuous professional development, with a sound understanding of hospital protocols.
