Role Details:
The Department for Child Protection has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contract Manager to join our Commissioning, Procurement and Contracts Directorate in Adelaide. This key leadership role plays a vital part in managing complex service contracts that deliver essential support for children and young people under DCP's care. You will lead contract reform, build strong partnerships with providers, and influence the quality and performance of services across South Australia, making a tangible difference where it matters most.
Responsibilities:
Lead and negotiate complex contracts with external service providers and internal stakeholders
Provide expert advice to senior management on contract performance and risk
Coordinate contract reform initiatives that enhance accountability and service quality
Build and maintain strong relationships with providers to achieve positive outcomes
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the development of best practice contract management systems
Qualifications:
Confident and experienced leader with a strong background in contract management within complex environments
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Knowledge of SA Government procurement frameworks and contract governance
Ability to balance strategic oversight with practical problem solving, navigate sensitive issues, manage performance, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across government and the community sector
