OHST Administrator supports the team by managing safety systems, compliance records and reporting to uphold site health and training standards.

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton.

The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.

Reporting to the OHS&T; Manager, the Occupational Health, Safety and Training Administrator is to provide critical administrative and operational support to the OHST team.

This role ensures the efficient management of safety systems, compliance records, and reporting processes to maintain and improve health, safety, and training standards on site.

This position will be offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities of this role will include

- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the OHST team.
- Maintain and update OHST documentation, registers, dashboards, and databases, (e.g., incident records, training matrices, audit schedules, inspection checklists, assurance reports).
- Assist with maintain accurate roster schedules and personnel records for the OHST Team and site personnel.
- Assist with preparing and distributing OHST reports, safety alerts, bulletins, meeting minutes, and presentations.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of data into safety systems, (e.g., INX, Vault, Pronto, DCI, or similar) and produce reports and analysis from this data.
- Support the coordination of field leadership activities, audits, inspections, and safety meetings.
- Track training records, medicals, inductions, and licence renewals for all site personnel.
- Assist in document control, ensuring Management Plans, procedures, policies, and forms are current and accessible.
- Support incident investigations and hazard/risk assessments with documentation and corrective actions follow-up.
- Assist with emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response.
- Assist with processing flights, accommodation and training for site personnel.
- Liaise with site personnel and contractors to ensure OSHT compliance.
- Promote a positive OHST culture across the site through effective communication and support.

About You

- Previous experience in an OHST administrative role within a mining, construction, or heavy industry environment.
- Proficient in OHST management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with experience with training management and document control systems including INX, Pronto, and DCI.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- General understanding of the statutory requirements of the Western Australia WHS Act and Regulations.
- Working understanding health, safety, training, and quality systems and procedures.
- Hold a WA Driver’s Licence (manual C Class).
