Based in Canberra, we are seeking a highly experienced Federal Services PS Technical Manager based in Canberra to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Professional Services technical operations of our federal services division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
The role oversees a group of specialist engineering teams providing professional services across multiple ICT disciplines and is responsible for driving billable utilisation of all resources, accurately forecasting Professional Services effort and providing commercial & cost inputs to new opportunities.
This role manages a large, regional team across ACT and NSW consisting of over 30 ICT professionals and is responsible for people management duties including performance management, personal development, coaching and mentoring.
The Day to Day
* Lead and manage the operations of the Federal Services division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Project Engineering services to clients.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor and analyse operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with Federal regulations and company policies.
* Manage and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
About You
* Due to the nature of the clients, you must be an Australian Citizen with previous history of NV1 clearance through AGSVA - although NV2 is preferable.
* It is critical that you have demonstrable experience in delivering best in class ITIL-aligned service, have a high-quality technical understanding, and Professional Services engagement experience.
* Strategic thinker and problem solver, able to influence direction by driving the right conversations.
* Qualifications in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience in operations management, preferably in the Federal Services sector.
* Strong understanding of Federal Regulations and compliance requirements.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing operational strategies and managing teams.
* Excellent leadership and large team management skills.
* Strong analytical abilities
