About the role
The Facilities Coordinator supports the Manager - Property & Facilities to manage all property related repairs and maintenance carried out by the contracted third-party facilities management organisation and other contractors external to this arrangement. This role is pivotal in reviewing all submitted work requests to assess validity, value for money and compliance with Australian Red Cross policies.
In addition, the Coordinator plays a key role in supporting our compliance requirements through ensuring our external facilities management provider and other external compliance providers deliver the agreed schedule of activities. This role also provides critical support to the Manager - Property & Facilities to mitigate WHS issues and risks across the property portfolio.
About you
You will demonstrate:
Sound discipline knowledge gained through experience, training or education in facilities management including the processes, reporting and systems required to manage a national property portfolio
Ability to operate within compliance and quality control practices and processes, particularly in relation to building codes and legislation
Experience delivering minor capital works projects and major repairs
Sound technical knowledge and expertise in Building Codes, Australian Standards and Regulatory requirements
Knowledge of charges associated with the delivery of trades in order to effectively assess quotes for work
Sound communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish positive and constructive relationships with a diverse cross section of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation
Ability to work under general direction from senior employees within clear objectives and budget constraints and work with and support teams and people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment
Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise their own work and that of lower classified staff and/or volunteers
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems generally found in policies and practices
Sound level of communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish positive and constructive relationships with a diverse cross section of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation
Problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify issues and develop solutions for achieving goals in complex project settings
High level of experience operating with compliance and quality control practices and processes, particularly in relation to building codes and legislation
An understanding of compliance with WHS regulations and requirements
Ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear, concise and accurate information dissemination
Ability to work within a continuous improvement framework and enhance systems and procedures to strengthen organisational capability

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary $88,090.08 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging options.
