The Position:
Are you passionate about technology, automation, and renewable energy? Do you want hands-on experience in lighting control, access control and security programming, EV charging systems, and renewable energy projects – and the chance to start your career as an electrical apprentice?
Responsibilities:
As an Automation & Controls Programmer, your responsibilities will include:
* Programming and troubleshooting lighting control systems, security and access control systems, EV chargers, and renewable energy solutions.
* Working alongside experienced electricians and programmers to implement innovative automation projects.
* Learning and applying electrical trade skills, with support to start a formal apprenticeship.
* Contributing to cutting-edge sustainable technology projects.
* Have the ability & commitment to communicate effectively with clients & colleges.
* Have the ability & commitment to collaborate seamlessly within a team environment.
* Work full-time hours with the flexibility for overtime. This is a full-time onsite position – remote work is not available.
Requirements:
* An understanding of IT networks.
* Previous experience in automation, controls programming, or renewable energy is preferred but not necessary.
* Eagerness to learn electrical skills and commit to undertaking an apprenticeship or already be a qualified electrician.
* Must be an Australian resident.
* Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
* Passionate about technology, innovation, and sustainable energy.
* Must be able to hold a Baseline clearance as a minimum (A current Baseline or higher clearance is highly desirable)
