We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist to join the Group Communications team on a 12 month contract. You will enable the Group’s purpose and strategy by executing best‑in‑class communications campaigns and content.
Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, you will support the Group’s “corporate” external channels and internal communications platforms.
Additionally, you will drive key support for media relations, Customer Services, issues management and business and Group projects and writing. The role will engage and inspire our internal and external communities through our purpose and The Good We Do, and further amplify our reputation and positioning as a purpose‑led retailer. You partner with key stakeholders across the business to drive attraction and our positioning as a global retailer.
You will obsess over your customer to drive results using data, insights and industry best practice. If you are passionate about driving engagement through influential and industry‑leading messaging, then this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Degree / qualification in relevant field i.e. Communications, PR, Social Media or similar.
* Proven experience in a similar Communications, PR, Social Media role for a fast paced business/agency.
* Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Electronic Direct Mail (eDM) functions.
* Understanding of data analytics tools, with the ability to analyse data and reports relating to customer reach and engagement.
* Confident decision making skills that will impact the success of our customer reach.
* A high level of planning, organisation and time management skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent copy writing skills.
* Proven ability in maintaining day‑to‑day operations and project management.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with all departments and management levels.
* Strong ability to problem solve and simplify complex needs of the business.
