Senior Project Manager (Compliance & Digital Process Reform)
A large Queensland Government division is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a compliance‑focused project aimed at improving the accuracy, processing and management of passenger seatbelt nominations. This is a high‑impact initiative requiring strong governance, hands‑on delivery capability and the ability to influence stakeholders across policy, digital and operational areas. You'll drive end‑to‑end delivery within a structured governance environment, coordinating project artefacts, reporting and communication to support executive decision‑making. This role is suited to a confident operator who can work independently while maintaining alignment with key stakeholders and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the project lifecycle including planning, governance, and delivery of project artefacts aligned to PRINCE2 or similar frameworks.
* Monitor scope, schedule, quality and cost baselines, ensuring risks, issues and dependencies are managed proactively.
* Develop reporting, benefits realisation plans and communication materials to support clarity and stakeholder alignment.
* Collaborate closely with internal advisors and stakeholders to ensure cohesive delivery of policy, process and system components.
* Provide high‑quality documentation including updates, business papers, analysis and recommendations.
* Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and continuous learning in a fast‑paced public sector environment.
About You
You are an experienced Senior Project Manager with the confidence to drive delivery independently while navigating governance and stakeholder complexities. You bring analytical capability, strong communication skills and a structured, compliance‑aware approach. Experience delivering policy‑led digital or operational reform will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience leading government or policy‑driven projects.
* Strong stakeholder communication and governance reporting skills.
* Demonstrated risk, issue and dependency management capability.
* Experience working within structured methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile or MSP.
Highly Desirable Requirements
* Experience in compliance, enforcement, digital workflow or regulatory projects.
* Understanding of operational change, business processes or service improvement environments.
* Relevant qualifications in project management or business disciplines.
