Payroll Officer 10 week Assignment
**Your new company**
Located in central Hobart, this internationally accredited school was founded in 1846 and is known for instilling a deep sense of tradition with its staff and students, celebrating, and upholding the values of courage, engagement, and determination.
**Your new role**
Due to long service leave there is a need to engage a Payroll Officer for approximately 10 weeks. The role will maintain the end-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls. You will be working within a team of 3 and report to the COO.
Duties include but are not limited to
- Payroll queries and adjustments
- Leave processing
- Process Overtime Reports
- Liaise with staff and management on payroll
- Assist Finance Accountant with Month End reporting
**What you'll need to succeed**
You'll possess a strong skill set in working with large-scale payroll (minimum 250+) and have experience using Synergetic or a similar system. Knowledge of and exposure to the Education Award is highly desirable. You will have a current Working with Vulnerable People Check, up-to-date Police Check (or ability to obtain) and flexibility to possibly be extended into other areas of finance after the 10 weeks.
