Base pay range $174,312.00/yr - $181,838.00/yr The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Department of Justice (DoJ) information communication technology (ICT) services. The role supports the Chief Information Officer to lead the department’s technology strategy across digital, cyber security, enterprise architecture and information management, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and whole-of-government priorities. The Department of Justice delivers integrated criminal, civil and community justice services to support a fair, safe and inclusive society for all Queenslanders. The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational management of DoJ's ICT services. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the role supports the development and delivery of technology strategy across digital, cyber security, enterprise architecture and information management. Key Responsibilities Include Assisting the CIO with the development of an integrated ICT strategy that aligns with organisational goals Operationalising technology services and overseeing ICT architecture and design standards Advising on emerging technologies to support decision-making and organisational advancement Supporting the management and coordination of major ICT projects and platforms Monitoring IT service delivery performance and managing incidents and reporting Leading the implementation of ICT governance and control frameworks Managing ICT asset replacement programs to ensure effective investment and service continuity Maintaining stakeholder and supplier relationships to meet business needs Providing program management for ICT investments to ensure outcomes and value The Ideal Candidate Will Bring Proven technical expertise and senior ICT leadership experience Strong ability to lead change and innovation in large, complex environments Experience delivering high-performing ICT services and aligning work with whole-of-government agendas Strong relationship management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Business acumen across contract management, governance and resource planning High-level leadership and communication skills to drive outcomes and uplift team capability Formal qualifications in information technology or a related field are highly desirable.
