What you'll be doing
We're on the hunt for a Senior GRC Security Consultant — combining deep technical expertise with outstanding customer support to design, deliver, and secure critical infrastructure. Based in Belconnen, ACT, this permanent full-time role and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that matter.
As a key member of our delivery team, you'll take ownership of solutions that support complex, secure environments. Your work will be critical in ensuring we meet — and exceed — client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development, delivery, submission and maintenance of security authorisation documentation (e.g., Statement of Applicability, System Security Plans, Security Risk Management Plans, and Cyber Incident Response Plans)
* Managing compliance evidence collection, tracking remediation activities, and maintaining regulatory readiness across standards and frameworks
* Provide cyber security advice that assists with the monitoring of infrastructure components, the design of infrastructure, identify areas for improvements and assist with the implementation of upgrades, or enhancements as required.
* Develop comprehensive security policies to address and mitigate risks.
* Create and maintain accurate documentation configurations, processes, and knowledge base content

* Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory
What will make you successful in this role?
* Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as PSPF, ISM, ASD Essential 8, NIST.
* Ability to identify risks, provide risk reduction strategies, and collaborate with business teams to secure stakeholders' approval and support.
* Solid and Technical background on OnPrem and cloud-based technology environments Microsoft AD, AWS, Azure, PKI, Secure Administration and Privileged Access management (PAM)
* Previously worked in heavily regulated environments such as federal government, telco, energy, etc.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders varying in seniority and technical understanding.
* Able to work independently and negotiate and influence, in consultive way, to ensure adherence to security controls and requirements
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet
