What You'll Do: Reporting to the Region Category Manager, you will provide the highest level of category support to the Northeast Regional merchandise team with a focus on analysis, pricing, forecasting, and reporting. In addition, you will perform a range of key functions including:
* You coordinate distribution centre fulfillment for animal health, animal management, fencing, general merchandise and water categories.
* Coordinating inventory management, including inventory exchange programs, excess stock movement across the branch/store network.
* Perform inventory analysis and reporting.
* Develop and coordinate regional merchandise forecasts for allocated categories.
* Complete sales and financial reporting.
* Field enquires from internal customers and negotiate with suppliers to achieve a positive outcome for all parties.
* Conducting reviews of suppliers (quality, delivery, price, service) and provide an assessment across relevant categories.
* Continually look for ways to improve the merchandise and category plans.
What You'll Bring: To be successful you must demonstrate exposure to an inventory administration or related role ideally in the retail or FMCG sector with a high volume of SKUs across multiple product categories. You will also demonstrate:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical, critical reasoning capabilities.
* Animal health knowledge is preferred.
* The ability to quickly develop rapport with key stakeholders across a diverse business.
* A customer focused approach and drive for excellence and accuracy in your work.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
* Advanced skills in MS Excel and exposure to SAP.
