About The RoleWe are looking for a proactive, self-starter to come and join our service team at Mackay branch in Paget, responsible for assisting our trade qualified technicians in the maintenance, service, repair and assembly of conveyor components and systems. This is an excellent chance to career advance yourself with an opportunity to undertake our Traineeship Belt Splicing Program. You can receive a nationally recognised qualification securing yourself a fully company fundedCertificate III in Polymer Processing and receive a permanent full-time position with an industry leader
This opportunity is ideal for individuals in the early stages of their mechanical or general trade careers as well as those looking to advance and gain a Trade Certificate in splicing
What do we need from you?
* Must have a strong safety focus
* Hold a current driver's licence
* Previous experience in a Trade Assistant position ideally in a related industry sector, i.e. manufacturing or mining;
* Possess good mechanical aptitude, as well as sound communication and numerical skills
* Ability to work on-call and overtime.
* Prepared to undergo a full Preemployment Medical as well as National Police Check.
* Ideally hold any of the following: Forklift ticket, Working at Heights, Doggers, Basic Riggers, confined space
