Role And Responsibilities
Toorak College is seeking two dynamic individuals to join its thriving Science Faculty in the roles of Laboratory Technician - one full-time and one part-time. These positions will appeal to candidates who are qualified, or currently undertaking qualifications in a relevant laboratory field, and who are genuinely interested in professional development within a supportive school environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a vibrant and well-resourced Science Faculty.
The Successful Candidates Will Possess
* Knowledge of chemicals and biological matter.
* Experience with class demonstrations and student practical activities, including the setting up of demonstration apparatus.
* Knowledge of safe storage, handling and disposal of hazardous substances/dangerous goods.
* Capacity to work in a close cohesive team environment.
* Genuine interest in being involved and supporting areas not limited to secondary Science but across school programs such as junior STEM-X and Agile Learning.
Both the full-time and part-time (0.6) positions are required during school terms only. The full-time role will involve some flexibility to undertake additional preparatory days outside of term time, to be negotiated as needed. Please note that the annual salary for each role will be adjusted to reflect the number of weeks worked during the whole school year.

* A First Aid Level 1 and Working With Children Check (Employee).
