Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Role
This is a leadership role that involves developing and implementing a proactive safety culture within the organization.
* Job Description:
* Lead the development and implementation of a proactive safety culture.
* Oversee and enhance OHS management systems to ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals.
* Provide leadership and support to OHS Representatives across sites, including training, inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
* Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
* Regularly review and update OHS policies, procedures, and safe operating practices.
* Manage WorkCover claims and coordinate effective return-to-work programs.
* Oversee the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of organizational safety data.
* Promote safety awareness through visible leadership, communication, and active participation in meetings and committees.
* Travel regularly across sites to provide hands-on support and ensure daily compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience leading and managing Occupational Health & Safety functions within a complex or multi-site organization.
* Relevant qualifications in OHS Risk Management or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and industry best practice.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a positive safety culture.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
