**About Jimmy Brings**

If you haven't heard of us already, you will. Jimmy Brings is a pioneer in the on-demand alcohol industry in this country, and is on a mission to change the way Australians drink. We are on the road to disrupting the traditional retail model and are seeking a hungry, energetic and savvy Assistant Category Manager who wants to come along for the ride.

**About the Role**

As the Assistant Category Manager (ACM) for Jimmy Brings, you will be working across all categories and partnering with the Category Manager to execute the merchandise strategy, with a key focus on maximising Jimmy Brings performance through a strong trade and customer plan.

You'll work closely with a number of key internal and external stakeholders across the industry, from Marketing and Operations, through to our supply partners. No one day is the same!

You'll build and manage supplier relationships end to end and will use your strong knowledge of the liquor industry and understanding of competitors, brands, consumer & shopper trends to create customer-centric promotional strategies to drive sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Category Manager, you will be responsible for:

- End to end promotional planning rhythm by partnering with relevant suppliers and internal teams to execute promotions and marketing campaigns that deliver upon strategic category objectives
- Negotiate commercials with suppliers for promotions and marketing funding
- Utilise available data to regularly review performance with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage sales and profit improvement through executing strategic category initiatives and promotional effectiveness
- Prepare and brief major category campaigns, along with key supplier funded activities
- Utilise analytical skills and understanding of customer insights to make informed decisions

**About You**

We're looking for someone with experience as an Assistant Category Manager or similar role within Liquor, Retail or FMCG.

You'll bring to the role strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships. Having strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills, as well as proven experience in retail buying, marketing, or business development, will take you far.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

- Proven experience in planning a strong, customer focussed, promotional program to maximise the commercial performance
- A track record in using customer insights and data to make strategic and commercial business decisions
- Strong ability to negotiate and influence both internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to work cross-functionality, under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A customer-centric attitude and a passion for the liquor industry
- E-Commerce experience desirable but not essential
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; knowledge of SAP highly regarded
