About the Role
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) are seeking an exceptional academic with expertise in Computer Systems to join their esteemed School of Computing and Information Systems (CIS). As part of a world-class computer science research group, you'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with renowned international teams, publish in influential conferences and journals, mentor graduate researchers, secure independent grant funding, and contribute to teaching and administrative responsibilities. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact in computer systems research and be at the forefront of technology education and innovation.
Your responsibilities will include:
4. Provide a significant degree of scholarly research initiative and collaboration in the disciplines of computer systems or related fields
5. Coordinate and conduct lectures and tutorials at undergraduate and graduate level, including engagement in teaching innovation and improvement
6. Build and foster partnerships with industry, government, collaborators at other Universities and other stakeholders
7. Participate in industry and community liaison activities as arranged by the School
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic academic with expertise in Computer Systems or related fields, demonstrating leadership in research, a strong publication record, and a passion for mentoring students and contributing to the academic community. You should also exhibit strong collaboration skills, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and a proactive approach to securing research grants and exploring innovative advancements in your field.
You will also have:
8. A PhD in computer systems, equivalent or closely aligned disciplines
9. Capacity to teach effectively across a range of subjects in computer science
10. Potential to achieve the highest levels of scholarship
