A motor vehicle allowance and travel time is also payable for travel between clients as well as a full working tool kit, including a mobile phone.About YouWe are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:Certificate III in a relevant field (Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or Home and Community Care)Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience in a personal carer role to be able to work without direct supervisionCurrent and unrestricted Australian driver's (C class) licenceMust have insured reliable vehicleCurrent First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) & Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)Sound best practice personal care skills appropriate to the roleGood understanding of the requirements to support clients living with dementia including those who display challenging behavioursStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to build positive relationships with clients and their representativesBasic cooking skillsA basic understanding of aged care packages - desirablePlease note all applicants must have a current and unrestricted Australian driver’s licence & a registered and insured Vehicle.About UsSouthern Cross Care is one of Australia’s leading charitable aged care, health and retirement living service providers.
