Financial Planning and Analysis Expert

This is a pivotal role in the financial sustainability of aged care services through accurate reporting, strategic analysis, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across multiple aged care funding streams. They will ensure regulatory compliance, support effective grant management, and provide key financial insights that guide strategic decisions and long-term sustainability.

* Prepare Annual Consolidated Financial Reports (ACFR) and Profit & Loss (P&L) reports across all care streams
* Compile Quarterly Financial Reports (QFR) for internal and external use
* Conduct financial benchmarking and submissions including Stewart Brown
* Perform monthly P&L reviews, variance analysis, and trend forecasting
* Deliver ad hoc Prophix reporting and support for Board and executive updates
* Develop financial reports for grant agreements and government obligations
* Prepare and maintain annual budgets and reforecasts for HCP, TCP, and NATSIFAC
* Conduct rolling forecasts and scenario modelling
* Align budgets with service delivery in collaboration with operational teams
* Resolve financial queries from community teams and grant stakeholders
* Deliver training on reporting tools and financial systems
* Engage with grant providers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
* Manage financial allocations and segment-aligned journal postings
* Prepare semi-annual NATSIFAC reports and oversee grant expenditure tracking
* Monitor sector reforms and provide guidance on financial implications

Key Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CPA or CA qualification (highly desirable)
* In-depth knowledge of aged care sector regulations and funding models
* Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
* Demonstrated experience in working with auditors and funding bodies
* Proficiency in systems such as Epicor, Medius, AvantCare, Prophix, PowerBi
* Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities
* High attention to detail and data accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
