Procurement Governance & Analytics Specialist Role
Komatsu Mining Technologies is executing a comprehensive strategy aimed at simplifying processes across all areas of its complex matrix structure. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Governance and Analytics Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing procurement processes.
The Key Responsibilities
This independent position will be responsible for implementing governance frameworks and applying advanced analytics to drive best practice procurement management. The successful candidate will optimise procurement activities, ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, and utilise data-driven insights to improve decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
* A commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) by always demonstrating safe behaviour.
* Ownership of supplier Master Purchase Agreements.
* Analyse procure-to-pay processes and activities, recommend focus areas, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Develop data to drive strategic procurement management.
* Analyse and recommend opportunities to reduce cost, decrease lead times, and reduce capacity constraints.
* Support stakeholders with automated reporting, procedures, and systems.
* Lead procurement systems support as the subject matter expert.
* Actively participate in various projects and working groups.
* Regularly audit procurement activities to ensure compliance with organisational processes, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain knowledge of legislations, regulations, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) best practices that impact global supply chains.

Requirements for Success
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, supported by relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Demonstrated core analytical skills, including report development, analysis, and interpretation, and issue resolution.
* Well-developed data analytics skills, including data extraction, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis using products like Excel and Power BI.
* Demonstrated understanding of ESG initiatives in the Procurement function.
* Well-developed procurement skills and capabilities.
* Demonstrated understanding of contracts and contract law fundamentals.
* Experience with organisation-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and finance systems.
* SAP experience is highly regarded.
* Demonstrated experience with projects and managing change.
